Job description

KDCI Outsourcing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll and Bookkeeping Specialist to support day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a task-oriented mindset. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and a collaborative attitude to ensure seamless bookkeeping and payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and files. 

  • Use Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data organization) to analyze financial data and generate reports. 

  • Reconcile bank statements and ledger entries. 

  • Process, finalize, and manage payroll data entry in ADP or Paycor. 

  • Reconcile and remit workers’ compensation premium payments on a monthly basis. 

  • Assist in preparing financial reports and statements. 

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures. 

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and accurate bookkeeping practices. 

Job requirements

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role. 

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data organization). 

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Strong math and analytical skills; comfortable working with numbers. 

  • Highly organized, dependable, and task oriented. 

  • Punctual with a strong work ethic. 

  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively and independently. 

  • Familiarity with accounting and/or payroll software is a plus (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, ADP, Paycor). 

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles, financial regulations, and US payroll taxes. 

  • Experience in a business or office environment is an advantage.
